Museum Virtually
Take a virtual 3-D tour of our museum, located on the campus of what once was Augusta Military Academy in Fort Defiance, Virginia. The museum is housed in the first building constructed on the campus as the home of school founder Charles Summerville Roller, in about 1874.
The home was leased from the current property owners in 1998 and underwent an extensive renovation costing the Alumni over $300,000. It is currently staffed by two part-time employees, a paid intern, and numerous volunteers.
Visitors are welcomed for self tours, or no-cost guided tours Wednesday through Sunday, from 10 a.m. till 4 p.m.
